Randy, Let me know how the 90s is coming along...I used to own it (I'm in S.F.) I sold it to the guy you bought it from, and he was going to restore it...I now have a little yamaha rat bike for around town...not nearly as cool as my 90s, but I don't have to care about it. Good luck with the old beast, it was a good bike. Kent

Saw your BMW Cruser project on Chromeheads. The bike looks really amazing. I have a R1200CLC also. Which I mainly got due to the cruse control and brakeing system. I have a bad right hand due to an accident at work. Can't use the front brake and to roll the throatle on I have to rotate my sholder. My question is. Can a quicker turning throatle be made for my bike. One third turn is full open or one quarter turn is full open. Any input would be appreciated. Dave Holt daveholt46@msn.com Reisterstown, Maryland

Hi Randy I'm Tom Allan from Torrington, Wyoming. I have a 2003 CLC, my first BMW. I love it and could care less if they discontinued it. I'll still be riding this for many years. I put about 10-12,000 miles a year on here. Great extra's on this machine. You got a great business there. I'm always looking for a run to make. Perhaps Deb and I will come visit some day. Later Friend.
Drop me a line if you are ever in the area Tom.

The cruiser has possibilities. I'm in the process of putting together a /2 conversion using a R100 engine and drivetrain. Your cruiser interests me especially because I would like to kick the rake out to 35 deg. but I can't find raked trees to adjust the trail and decent risers and bars to fit BMW are scarce.
You may want to try to weld on a later model sport bike gooseneck to get what you want.

Awesome, absolutely awesome BMW chop. Been dying to do something to my '78 R80/7. Bought it for $1500 a few years back. Low mileage, but shabby shape. Leaks more thn my '70 Sportster, etc. Great ideas, if only you were East Coast. Keep up the great work! james. ignorant_redneck@hotmail . com

March 10-06 Time- 23:04 Super site bub, I had a 750 /5, a 1000R /7 and now have a 96 R1000RT. Love them Beeeemers, put well over 250,000 miles on the /5 and /7, couldn't wear the things out. I'm 73 and my brub and I still swing a leg for a 6000 mile trip every so now and often Ya done the BMW's proud Carl
Hello master I have been looking for successful examples of Beemer cruiser for a very long time, most of them are made in former eastern Germany, eastern Europe countries and former Soviet Union, and the bike frames changed from Ural or China Changjiang, engine copied WW2 BMW R71 or R75.I was dreaming of building a Beemer Cruiser with newer engine and American style chopper frames even single rear arm. Then I goggled your website by accident today and found that you've made it. You are so great man who did so great job. Northwood from China mainland
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks Northwood, I appreciate the comments. Is that cool or what!! All the way from China!

hey, I love your airhead looks great! and sounds great too. are you selling parts? i'm restoring a 1971 R50/5 that hasn't started in about 20 years. i might modifie it on the way, any suggestions? thanks, Big-Al
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not a BMW parts dealer Big-Al. I would recommend your local BMW dealer or Chicago BMW online parts order. They still have all the parts for those bikes. Try to keep it close to original.

Outstanding work Randy... an inspiration for my /5 restoration project. Wanna share how you get those old BMW castings so shiney-new looking? I've tried just about everything (short of complete tear-down and media blasting) that I can think of. BTW; I got linked to your site through www.bmwmotorcycles.com Lew Morris Pismo Beach, California 1973 R75/5, 133,000 miles, original owner 1947 H-D FL
